TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account
Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that launched in March 2026, that range is solid.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly in the works. That would be a good addition when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does factor into your decision.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.
